Here are some of the issues facing us today and my positions on them:
Abortion - I am against any and all forms of abortion.
Same-Sex Marriage - Ok, its your God-given Right to be with whoever you choose to be with. I believe in Free Will, so who am I to bash anyone? My issue with the gay community though is stop flaunting and holding parades in our cities, wasting tax dollars just because you want to dress in rainbow outfits waving your flags, and rallying to express how you don’t feel like your treated as equals. Marriage has always been defined as between a man and a woman, and if left up to me I would always keep it that way but I don’t like the State interfering in the matter. You can love and be with whoever you want, but at the end of the day I would like to see the State out of marital affairs and left up to consensual adults.
Energy - First off, the federal Department of Energy is unconstitutional and should be disbanded. Now, I believe as Americans we fell behind in the field of energy over these past few decades. Its time we get back to the forefront. Oil is a mess, not only literally a physical mess, but economically and environmentally as well. We have companies that are trying to bring energy to homes and businesses via solar panels and wind turbines. We need to invest in these companies. We have vast natural gas fields offshore, lets tap into them. America has indebted itself to OPEC, and this cannot stand another second. Let’s focus our attention and resources on diversifying our energy supply and ending dependency on foreign oil.
2nd Amendment – Absolutely 100% support the Right to Bear Arms. Our Founding Fathers recognized a society without the freedom to own firearms will give way to a tyrannical government. I firmly believe guns do not kill people, people kill people. For those who argue the case about the children who accidentally kill themselves or others because they are playing with the firearm and it goes off, it is a tragedy and should never happen; but most of these cases are due to parental negligence, lack of education on the safety of firearms, and improperly storing them.
